Happy Friday gorgeous readers! Here's a quick review for Eve Lom Face Balm Cleanser. It's has been a cult skincare product among beauty editors for a few decades now. I have always wanted to try it so a few months back I finally caved and splurged. Birchbox sent me a gift card via email when I initially signed up with them so I was able to purchase it below the retail cost. Read my thoughts on this lusted after balm below. Have a lovely weekend! Stay Beautiful! XOXO
An iconic, multiaward-winning cleanser that cleanses, decongests, tones, exfoliates, and removes even the most stubborn waterproof makeup. Remarkable. Multipurpose. Multiaward-winning. The original balm cleanser. The EVE LOM Cleanser was described by Vogue as ‘probably the best cleanser in the world' and is the foundation of Eve Lom’s skin care regime. It has forever changed the face of cleansing as it is expertly balanced for all skin types, skin concerns, and environmental conditions. With its signature blend of four aromatic plant oils, specially woven 100 percent cotton Muslin Cloth, and quick routine, skin is left radiant with a smoother, more refined texture. The difference can be seen instantly and just keeps on improving with use.
Formula: Firstly, a muslin cloth is included in the box. The warm cloth is used to cover the face to allow the product to melt into the skin. This works as a decongestant and helps to clear up pores. The creme is slightly firm but melts on contact or by rubbing it between fingers before application. I have to say that it is a relaxing experience and it does leave my dry skin hydrated and less irritated than typical cleansers. You would need to dedicate at least 15 minutes to your nightly routine to really get the most out of the system since it takes some time to apply and reapply the cloth as recommended. While I do LOVE the way it makes my skin feel, the price point is absurd for a small jar. Eve Lom's balm was made famous during a time where face balms were mostly nonexistent, however, in today's skincare market, there are a plethora of alternatives that offer the same benefits. If you're really on a super saver budget, the Boot's No.7 brand has a healthier skincare line at Target which sells a decent balm for under $10. I feel the need to mention this because for most women, this price point is seriously not viable. If you get a chance to try it, you'll love it but if you don't, it's not the end of the world. What are your opinions on this?
