Happy Monday gorgeous readers! Pardon all the late posts. My life is hectic right now and I'm trying to do fifty things all at once. Today's review is for another item that I've been using for several months, Josie Maran Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist. Months ago, I went on a facial mist splurge and was drawn to this because of the coconut in the formula. I'm a coconut fiend so when I read coconut on a label, I don't think, I just buy. Stay Beautiful! XOXO
A hydrating treatment mist that amplifies the benefits of your skin care ritual while nourishing, smoothing, and brightening. This alcohol-free formula contains argan oil extract to nourish and coconut water to deliver essential hydration and electrolytes. Protein-rich minerals provide antioxidant protection against free radicals, konjac root ultra-filling spheres plump and smooth skin, and a powerful multi-fruit complex of sugar cane, lemon, and orange extract helps remove dead skin cells, support natural collagen production, and boost skin elasticity. Natural essences of cucumber and geranium revitalize the senses and skin is left saturated, supple, baby soft, and perfectly prepped for moisturizer. Even better—use throughout the day to set or refresh makeup and replenish skin.
Formula: Most water mists aren't really that magical, they hydrate, they set make-up, and that's about it. I noticed my skin felt slightly smoother with the Nirvana mist. I don't know if it's just a placebo effect but it also seemed to exfoliate my skin when saturated with a heavy hand and I could peel away the little dead skin particles after using a lot of the spray. As a matter of fact, I became so addicted to spraying it on my face so many times a day that it started to make my skin dry. So, it's really nice if you use it once of twice sparingly and not if you use it like a sprayzilla obsessed crazy lady. The scent is barely noticeable -- like fresh coconut water, really subtle and pleasant. The glass bottle is gorgeous and heavy but the spray mechanism for me was a disaster! You have to press hard to get a full spray, otherwise it's like a heavy rain mist that lands everywhere. I did not like this aspect of the bottle design since it wastes product and wets everything under the spray "umbrella". Hopefully the brand can work on this issue in the future because I noticed that I'm not the only person who had this problem with the mechanism. Overall, I enjoy using Nirvana -- it's refreshing, soothing and allows for a nice base before make-up application, in addition to adding a lovely glow to the skin throughout the day.
