Up for review today is the new Kerastase Resistance Therapiste shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair, courtesy of Influenster. As a Influenster member, I was randomly selected to participate in the campaign. What's unique about this hair therapy is that it includes reverse conditioning treatment, which simply means that you use the conditioner before shampoo. This allows for the formula to act as a protective sealant on the hair. The product is fairly new so you'll have to shop around online or be patient for local stores to stock it. Stay Beautiful! XOXO

Kerastase’s first hair renewal care for
very damaged, over processed hair. The Resurrection Plant is know for it’s ability to survive almost complete dehydration and to be able to come back to life after 10 years of near death.  For the first time, Kerastase has been able to extract from this precious sap, transposing it’s energy into the formula of NEW Resistance Therapiste to give your hair a second life. Witness the miracle ingredient come back
to life in less than 24 hours.

Wash your hair in reverse with Resistance Therapiste. Using Therapiste Soin Premier prior to shampooing helps to instantly repair damaged hair by infusing the fiber with softness to protect hair while cleansing

Formula: Both products have a thick, creamy formula with the same exact scent you normally find when using conditioner found in home coloring kits. Using the conditioner first was weird but I was able to comb through my hair without any tangles. Afterwards, while rinsing it off, my hair felt like it had a slight, slick feeling. If anyone has ever used a glossy hair treatment for the hair, it's almost similar to that feeling. The shampoo lathers up really nicely while cleansing your scalp and hair. I intentionally did not add any styling product so I could see the difference the products made in regards to repair. There was slight repair, the frizz was minimized and my hair was really soft and shiny. My hair must be extremely damaged because I still felt it was missing more moisture. Also, my curls felt less defined, but I did towel dry only, using no other product. After the third use, I added curl creme as usual and it made a difference. My hair seems fuller and more tamed. I'm not completely convinced about the total repair feature but the system is decent enough. I would imagine women with much healthier hair than mine would see more of an impact with their results. One last note, I couldn't find any price info because the items are new but you can browse online in a week or so and I'm sure it will be easier to find. Kerastase website lists the product but no info is available.

Availability: Kerastase sold in fine salons, check stores for stock
