*product was sent to me for my consideration, my review is genuine and my own opinion*

The lovely people at Oz Naturals has yet again sent me another fabulous product to test. The Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Exfoliator is amazing. I've tested a few exfoliating powders in the past and this is different because of it's dual action as both a manual and chemical exfoliator. It's natural, vegan and cruelty free. Read more below. Stay beautiful! XOXO

The scrub utilizes bamboo to gently exfoliate skin and unclog pores without irritation, or drying. Contains lactic acid and alpha lipoic acid to help exfoliation process by breaking down and removing dead skin cells, revealing the glow of healthy skin beneath, and assists in reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging from sun damage. Green tea extract, rich in antioxidants helps prevent collagen breakdown as well as tone and protect the skin from damaging effect of free radicals. Pro-vitamin B5 scrub is readily absorbed by the skin and penetrates deep down, retaining moisture and relieving dry, irritated skin, and Alpha Lipoic Acid provides anti-inflammatory effects reducing redness and blotchiness, shrinking pore size and adds healthy radiance to skin. Safe for all skin types, bamboo exfoliant is natural and free of harmful ingredients. Can be used once per day to help to improve your skins tone and texture by removing dead skin cells. Proper exfoliation also allows facial serum and moisturizer to be more effective. Directions: Wet face with warm water. Shake powder into palm of hand and add few drops of water to create thick paste. Gently rub paste over your skin for 20 seconds. Do not scrub too deep as this will damage your skin. Allow scrub to sit on your skin for 2 minutes as this will allow the lactic acid to further exfoliate your skin. Rinse with warm water.

Formula: Most scrubs or exfoliators are either chemical or manual but this one has dual function. A manual scrub for when you physically, gently rub the grains on the face and the chemical process simply means you apply to face and allow it to work while the enzymes exfoliate the skin without having to use your fingers. The grains are micro-fine but they are powerful, meaning you need to rub gently or you'll end up irritating the skin. My skin is sensitive and I didn't experience any breakouts. The results were a super soft baby smooth finish. It's not a huge jar but because you'll only need a tiny application per use and it will last you well over a month, if not longer depending on how many times you use it. I apply it once or twice weekly. It's easy to use, just add a few drops of water to small amount of powder, mix and rub it all over the face. Then leave it on for a couple of minutes to let the enzymes continuing softening the skin. The convenient sifter top allows you to dispense a small amount each time but it does open if you'd like to apply more. It's a heavy duty exfoliator with skin benefiting and natural ingredients plus it's cruelty free and vegan. Click on the links below to purchase and try rice enzyme scrub for yourself.
