Paul + Joe Moisturizing Compact Foundation:Alabaster 00

Here's the last of my Paul + Joe foundation collection reviews. This one is for the Paul + Joe Moisturizing Compact Foundation Shade-Alabaster 00. It's the same exact alabaster color as in the fluid foundations without the extra liquid saturation. This version has a slightly better hold and the beautiful etched pale shell pink compact is delightful. As with the previous fluid foundations I reviewed --the compact in this particular style is also hard to find-- although they now include the newest additions. I haven't tried any of the newer shades yet because I'm completely fixated on the alabaster as being my perfect shade.

Paul & Joe Moisturizing Compact Foundation SPF 15 PA:with nourishing botanicals and rich hydrators to moisturize the skin and protect it from environmental aggressors. Skin texture is radiant and supple. Imperfections are diminished by illuminating pigments. It disguises pores and blemishes. Compact is slim and has a vintage look; comes with mirror and sponge applicator.

Formula: A creamy foundation that glides on effortlessly and has buildable coverage. It leaves a semi-glowing finish on the skin making it perfect for dry skin types. It's slightly more matte than the fluid version but still very moisturizing. I find it has decent wear time which is heightened by the use of primer and setting powder. If your skin is really oily I suggest skipping this particular formula. Shade alabaster contains no beige or dirty yellow pigments and it's perfect for pale/light skin tones. What I didn't really like was the sponge applicator --but then again no compact ever has a good one. I used my own Beauty Blender sponge for a more accurate application. The compact is really gorgeous! The top cover has an etched laced design in a pale pink color, a nice quality mirror inside -- with the body constructed of a hard resin type plastic-- and a small sponge. I really hope they still continue making this exact shade because it's literally the color of my flesh. They also need to make this more accessible for us vampiric-toned girls here in the states. Has anyone ever tried this foundation? Stay Beautiful! XOXO

  1. Such a pretty compact :-)

  2. I'm glad you found your matching shade.

  3. Omg that shade looks perfect. Like the Kat Von D pale shade that keeps selling out.
