The new Kat Von D Innerstellar Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition product available exclusively at Sephora. It's an ode to alluring colors inspired by the moon at dark. I know it sounds silly but the packaging alone is gorgeous --holographic-- and I'm a sucker for anything remotely galactic in beauty products. I find the cool-tones, neutral and silvery pearl range of shades always compliment my fair skin better --although I can wear both warm and cool colors-- somehow I'm attracted to the frosty shades more often.
A limited-edition eye shadow palette featuring 12 unexpected, celestial neutrals with shimmer and matte finishes. Experience the bolder side of neutral with this lunar-inspired palette of cool, cosmic colors. These 12 new provocative shades are brilliantly arranged into three quads, each featuring a large, versatile base or highlighter shade with a corresponding trio of accent hues—from irresistible silvers to moon-dust nudes and smoldering earth tones in pearl and matte finishes. These ultrasmooth eye shadows are milled with a triple-jet process to yield rich pigment in just one swipe while delivering ultimate blendablity and crease-free wear. This set contains: 3 Eye shadows in Gravitron (soft iridescent pink), Vast (pearlized taupe), Lycan (matte cream) 9 x 0.04 oz Eye shadows in Night Crawler (matte dusty beige), Dios (silvery gray iridescence), Lunacy (rich pearlized purple), Astrological (pale lilac sheen), Darkstar (purplish pewter), Orion (matte chocolate brown), 3am (metallic champagne), Moonshine (metallic silver), Killing Moon (matte black) All shades are infused with rose extract and vitamins A, C, and Vitamin E to keep eyelids hydrated and protected.
Formula: I didn't swatch these because they're like the same KVD shadows from other sets in terms of high pigmentation --and I'm really busy with other projects at the moment. They're more deeply concentrated in coloring from the photo --the flash washes them out-- and several have a lovely metallic sheen. There's no glitter with a high pigmentation, silky, creamy and bulidable formula. The top three shades can be worn alone or used as base/highlighter shades and are more semi-sheer than the bottom row shades. I have to mention the new cream formula doesn't even feel like cream. At first I thought it was a creamy powder shadow --this is an improvement in my opinion because the older cream shadows would harden up and turn dry. Major improvement! All of the colors are completely new here and my faves so far are Lunacy, Astrological, Darkstar and the creamy highlighter in Lycan. These shades are everyday wearable colors for all skin tones and perfect for layering when creating dramatic evening looks. Definitely a must have palette for neutral, cool-tone addicts. Let your INNERSTELLAR shine! Stay Beautiful! XOXO
