I had the opportunity to purchase the Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil at considerable savings along with the new Vitamin E aqua-boost sorbet (review tomorrow) a few weeks ago and I'm ready to share my thoughts on the serum. As you guy's know I've been on a facial oil serum splurge lately and this particular brand had some great reviews backing it up so I thought I'd give it a sample. Anything with Vitamin E is beneficial to the skin and during the winter my face gets slightly more dry so any extra moisture is welcomed. This product has also been featured on my Guide To Facial Oil article over at Influenster's Hub --which I'm linking below-- so feel free to check that out for more info.
Wake up to beautiful skin with new Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, a technical innovation combining the power of a serum and oil to indulge, replenish and recharge skin with moisture overnight. 8h beauty sleep for your skin. Skin feels recharged, replenished and softer. Skin looks fresher, rested and more radiant. Our highest concentration of wheatgerm oil. Non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula. Apply a few drops in the palm of your hands and gently rub together to warm. Apply on the face and the neck with a gentle patting motion. Using fingertips, massage in small circular movements over forehead, cheeks, around mouth and chin area.
Formula: Of all the face oils in my collection, this one is closest to Nude skincare oil in terms of consistency --it's slightly thicker-- which means you need the barest amount per application. Literally, like two drops will do the trick. I also find that for me it's best used at nighttime because sometimes it interferes with certain day serums or foundations I use over the oil. To save me time figuring out which combo works best during the day I simply use this during my nighttime beauty routine instead. There's a nice pleasant scent which can be likened to a very subtle rose fragrance and the oil is non-sticky, fast absorbing and leaves the skin soft. For better absorption, apply this and any oil product before your moisturizer otherwise you're wasting your other products because the oil will form a barrier over your skin. If you must use a dab before certain products make sure it's less than a drop on each area, enough to smooth over a rough patch. I know this is weird for some people -- it was unusual for me too at first because I've always applied it under my moisturizer. Who knew? And besides having Vitamin E in the formula, I also love that it contains sunflower, sesame, jojoba, soybean oils and wheatgerm protein. A little oil that packs a powerful punch of goodness at an affordable price. Who's a beauty facial oil believer? Stay Beautiful! XOXO
