Sephora Collection The Perfectionist Makeup Sponge

sponge comes with it's own hefty acrylic stand! (left side)

Today's review is going to be a quick one for the Sephora Collection, The Perfectionist Makeup Sponge in shade purple. I previewed this brush on my Instagram account last week informing you guy's that it's on sale for $7 (great bargain) and checking the site today it's still available.

An innovative, easy to use makeup sponge for a flawless finish. Effortlessly blend and precisely apply with this versatile makeup sponge. The superb moisture retention of this tool makes it ideal for blending foundation, applying skincare products, and removing makeup imperfections. Washable and reusable.

Material/Use: I purchased this sponge mainly because I wanted one to alternate with my Beauty Blender sponge and for the price it was reasonable. I also purchased the limited edition purple BB sponge because the original is amazing and well it's purple! This Sephora version is not bad but I find the material is different from the BB. This feels more like latex and isn't as smooth on the skin where the BB sponge stipples better. Also this version doesn't handle the curves of your nose and under your eyes as well as the BB sponge. It's just clumsier. On the plus side, it comes with a fabulous heavy sturdy acrylic sponge stand that holds your sponge while looking cute on your vanity table. I think this is better suited for cream or regular liquid foundation instead of the high-definition foundation. I honestly think if your going for a perfect flawless look the Beauty Blender is ten times better and worth splurging on the higher cost.

Bottom Line: For seven dollars it's a decent sponge for various uses and great to use daily when switching between the more expensive Beauty Blender sponge as not to wear that one down. You can even use it for cream blush or find other uses for it. Just my honest opinion. Has anyone tried the Perfectionist sponge yet? Stay beautiful! XOXO

  2. T o be honest I have never tried any sponge.. I stuck on Sigma brushes :)

  3. A great sponge is perfect for those high-def foundations. It gives an airbrushed look.
